About Me

This is what I do.

My name is Amirhossein Kazemnejad. I’m a senior Computer Science undergradue student. I do research in NLP with a focus on conditional, retrieval text-generation at the Machine Learning Lab situated at the Sharif University of Technology, where Dr. Mahdieh Soleymani advises me. Also, I’m working on semantic surprisal of language models as my bachelor thesis. Dr. Mohammad Taher Pilehvar is the supervisor of this project.

Before joining the world of academic research, I was more of a “Software Engineering” person, where I was the technical lead in my beloved (and also failed) start-up (RIP). Furthermore, I have serveral software developing experiences in my resume (senior and junior), which mostly occurred during my first two years of college.

I occasionally contribute to the open-source world by hunting and fixing bugs as well as writing tutorials (recently Tensorflow 2.0 Addons).

To kill time, I usually go for car design as well as UX design, other than that you can find me working on making stupid, useless things perfect.

Now I’m continuing my career in the academic research journey, and I hope I could join a suitable Ph.D. Program.

I’d love to hear your feedback. If you have any, please get in touch. You can find my contact info here.

Happy visiting my weblog.
